Last evening, Congressional leadership announced an agreement in principle to fund the federal government through the remainder of Fiscal Year 2020.
The Society of American Foresters Northwest Office is seeking a manager to work with SAF leadership and members to strengthen the Society in Oregon, Washington State, and Alaska. The applicant may work from his/her own office.

The Wisconsin Council on Forestry has endorsed the Safe Routes Act. In a letter to Senator Baldwin (WI) the Council states “Legislation such as the Safe Routes Act, is needed to allow state legal log trucks the option to avoid rural and urban streets and highways and populated areas where pedestrian activities are numerous and where frequent intersections increase traffic safety concerns.
